A private bus returning from Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra event in Mumbai was involved in an accident in Thane district on Wednesday, according to the police. About 10 passengers were hurt.
Around 2:30 am, the tragedy happened on the Kolambe bridge, which is located close to Shahapur on the Mumbai-Nashik highway. The bus was pushed into the barrier when a vehicle struck it from behind. Another bus struck the truck from behind in the meanwhile, causing it to flip over.
According to an official, around 10 individuals were hurt, including two critically. According to him, the cops cleared the road and moved to buses using cranes.
According to a representative from the Thane rural police control room, the first bus was transporting approximately 20 persons who were returning from CM Shinde’s rally in Mumbai. According to him, it was headed toward Sillod in the Nashik district.
According to the representative from Thane police’s rural control center, the wounded were sent to a nearby government hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday, Shinde spoke to a large crowd at the Shiv Sena’s Dussehra rally held at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. Uddhav Thackeray, his competitor and the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), conducted his party’s annual gathering in Shivaji Park.
