In the political corridors of Maharashtra, the market of speculation about Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar joining the BJP is hot. Meanwhile, Ajit has also expressed his political ambition. He said that I want to become CM 100 percent. Why wait for 2024 for this? This statement of Ajit has come at a time when it is being said that there may be a split in the NCP.
Along with this, Ajit said about the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance that earlier we used to talk about secularism and being progressive, but in 2019, Congress and NCP entered into an alliance with Shiv Sena to form the government and we broke the line of secularism. The main reason for this was that Shiv Sena has been a Hindutva party.
Although Ajit Pawar has rejected the speculation of joining BJP outright. He said that there is no rift in the Nationalist Congress Party. Also, there is no truth in the speculation about his joining BJP. Meanwhile, the NCP leader told the Marathi newspaper, why 2024, even now I aspire to become the chief minister. This answer of Ajit came on the question in which he was asked whether he is in the race for the post of CM in the Maharashtra assembly elections to be held in 2024.
Ajit may have put an end to speculations about his joining BJP. But recent political developments are indicating otherwise. Recently NCP meeting was held in Mumbai. But Ajit did not participate in it. Then he referred to his pre-scheduled programs. Ajit Pawar had said that he could not attend the NCP meeting because he had to attend other programs. At the same time, NCP had said that Ajit not attending the party meeting does not mean that he is planning to leave the organization.
At the same time, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule accused the leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi of defaming Ajit Pawar and questioning his credibility. Bawankule said that Ajit Pawar has not met him for the last three months, nor has he met top leaders of the government. Bawankule said that MVA leaders are defaming Ajit Pawar. Even today his credibility is being questioned regarding the political developments in 2019.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar had recently rejected Congress’s demand for JPC in the Adani case. After this, his nephew Ajit Pawar praised the charisma of PM Modi. Not only this, but he also expressed confidence in EVM. He had said, I have full faith in EVM. One person cannot manipulate EVM, it is a big system. The losing party blames EVMs, but it is the people’s mandate. He had said that the party which had only two MPs, formed the government with the mandate in the year 2014 under the leadership of PM Modi and reached far-flung areas of the country, so isn’t this Modi’s charisma?
