A very shocking incident has come from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, where a young man first befriended an 11-year-old minor through Facebook. Soon the affair started between the two, which the accused took advantage of. He coaxed the minor and took her with him to Latur in Maharashtra.
According to the information, as soon as the news of her disappearance was received, Family of minor girl started looking for her. During this, two phone numbers were found written on a paper from the girl’s room, after which the family members called on those numbers, then the accused started threatening them.
The accused told his name as Sheikh and he said that he was speaking from Hyderabad. His daughter is with him and she will not return. Not only this, the accused threatened the girl’s father and said that he should forget his daughter, otherwise the consequences would be very bad.
After the threat, the family members of the girl got scared. They informed the police about this on the day of the incident 24 December 2021. After registering the case, the police started the investigation. During the investigation, it was found that the location of the accused is in Latur in Maharashtra.
For two years the police kept searching for him but nothing could be found about him or the girl. Because the accused did not use that number after that. On May 29, the police got a lead on the basis of secret information and they came to know about the whereabouts of the accused.
After this, the police arrested Mainuddin’s son Dastgir Sheikh from Badure village of Latur. Along with that the girl was also freed from his clutches. The girl told that Sheikh had physical relations with her for two years. Earlier the accused used to live in Gorakhpur only.
The police have registered a case against the accused under sections of the POCSO Act and rape. At the same time, Shahpur Police Station Inspector Manoj Kumar Pandey told that the accused used to live in Gorakhpur earlier. He befriended the minor girl through Facebook, then took her there and established relations with her. After arresting the accused, the police brought him to Gorakhpur. Investigation is going on in the matter.
