Two

sisters were shot dead in Dr Ambedkar Basti in south Delhi’s RK Puram in the early hours of Sunday, police said. The killers looked to have come for the victim’s brother, according to Manoj C, deputy commissioner of police for the southwest but shot the victims instead. The DCP stated, “Prima facie, the murders seem to be over money settlement issue,” without going into greater detail.

The fatalities were identified as Pinky, 30, and Jyoti, her sister, who is 29 years old. They resided with their family in the Dr Ambedkar Basti neighbourhood, which is managed by the R.K. Puram police station.

According to the police, the two victims’ brothers called them around 4.40 am on Sunday. The DCP stated, “The man said that some people shot his sisters.” The victims were taken by ambulance to Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

According to the police, they have filed a murder complaint and are looking into other Indian Penal Code articles that might apply in this situation. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, offered condolences to the families of the dead and claimed responsibility for the tragedy on the BJP-led central government, which oversees law and order in the nation’s capital.

“The residents of Delhi have begun to feel extremely uneasy. Instead of restoring peace and order, Delhi’s law enforcement officials are plotting to seize control of the entire city administration. Delhi would have been the safest today if the AAP had been in power instead of the LG, Kejriwal claimed in a Hindi tweet.
