Accenture, a provider of IT services and consultancy, said on Tuesday that it will buy Flutura, a provider of industrial AI located in Bengaluru. The deal’s magnitude was kept a secret. Over 110 employees at Flutura are experts in providing industrial data science services to manufacturers and other asset-intensive businesses.
Flutura will bolster Accenture’s industrial AI offerings to improve the efficiency of plants, refineries, and supply chains and help customers reach their net-zero targets more quickly, according to a statement from the company. The Flutura capabilities will be made available to customers in the energy, chemicals, metals, mining, and pharmaceutical sectors by Ireland-based Accenture.
“For engineers, Flutura democratises AI. This purchase will enable our customers’ worldwide, notably in Australia, South-East Asia, Japan, Africa, India, Latin America, and the Middle East, industrial AI-led transformation “Senthil Ramani, senior managing director and Accenture’s head for growth markets for Applied Intelligence, said.
ALBERT, a Japanese data science startup, was purchased by Accenture last year. Analytics8 in Australia, Sentelis in France, Bridgei2i and Byte Prophecy in India, Pragsis Bidoop in Spain, Mudano in the UK, and Clarity Insights in the US are among Accenture’s other recent AI purchases.
