The White House is allegedly not planning to pay to have its staff’s official Twitter accounts continue to be verified as Elon Musk prepares to begin removing heritage verified Blue check marks starting on Saturday.

Rob Flaherty, the White House’s director of digital strategy, allegedly conveyed instructions to the staff members through email.

The advice does not always apply to government entities, but certain departments and agencies may get it in the future, the newspaper claims, citing a person familiar with White House intentions.

The President and Vice President will probably continue to have a grey checkbox next to their verification for some White House employees.

According to Flaherty’s email, Twitter will no longer be able to ensure verification for government agency accounts that do not match its new eligibility standards, as per the company’s modified policy.

Verified Organizations, according to the business, are a new method for organizations and their affiliates to stand out on the microblogging platform.

Accounts that are connected to the organization will have a connection badge on their profile with the organization’s logo and will be highlighted on the account’s Twitter page.

“Before joining Verified Organizations, every organization is examined, “the said business.
