According to authorities, many deaths are anticipated as a result of a tanker carrying raw alcohol falling into a canyon near Pune’s Dive Ghat on Monday evening. On the situation, further information is expected.
Earlier in March, according to authorities from Pune’s Fire department, at least five persons were hurt in an accident involving a private bus travelling from Mumbai to Bengaluru. Officials claim that the bus was involved in an accident on the Mumbai–Bengaluru motorway close to Bavdhan in Pune. “The injured people were admitted to a hospital,” a representative stated.
The tanker driver and one more person suffered injuries and were rushed to a hospital. Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and ensured that the substance does not catch fire.
“A tanker transporting raw alcohol was on its way to the Hadapsar industrial area in Pune city when it suffered a brake failure in the Dive Ghat section on Pune-Saswad Road at around 8:30 pm. The tanker hit two motorcycles while rolling down into a 50-60 feet deep gorge, killing two people on the spot,” he said.
