Harish Rawat, a Congress lawmaker and a former chief minister of Uttarakhand, almost escaped when his automobile struck a barrier. Fortunately, Rawat said he wasn’t hurt and simply had some trembling following the impact. The tragedy happened late on Tuesday night when the vehicle was making its way from Haldwani to Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar.
The former chief minister of Uttarakhand was transported to a hospital shortly after the accident for a checkup where physicians assured him that everything was alright and soon after released him.
Rawat said in a social media post on X, previously known as Twitter, that there is no need for concern since he just experienced little shakes following the crash.
“As I was traveling from Haldwani to Kashipur, my vehicle struck a barrier near Bazpur, and I had some small tremors. I went to the hospital to get it checked out, and the doctors said everything was alright and they released me. On social media, several friends have written about the occurrence, which may worry some people. There is no need for concern. I’m doing well, and so are my coworkers,” he wrote in Hindi on X.
Rawat suffered “serious injuries” in the crash, which occurred at 12:15 in the morning, while his driver and personal gunner barely avoided harm, according to media sources. He complained of chest trouble, so someone took him to the hospital. However, the head of the Congress clarified the situation and stated not to panic.
From 2014 until 2017, Harish Rawat, a five-time member of Parliament, led Uttarakhand as its chief executive. From 2012 to 2014, Rawat served as the Union Minister for Water Resources in the administration of the previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
