A function to react to status updates using avatars is apparently being developed for WhatsApp, the Meta-owned network. With this, the instant messaging software hopes to increase user interaction with status updates by facilitating the expression of emotions.
We can officially confirm that WhatsApp will add an avatar reply feature to a future version of the program according to the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.18.9 upgrade, according to WABetaInfo.
You will still be able to reply to a status update with an emoji, according to the image supplied by WABetaInfo. But the Meta-owned app also has ambitions to expand this function by enabling avatar-based replies.
The user will be able to respond to a status update by selecting one from the available set of eight avatars since there are only eight emojis accessible with the usual response function. The entire experience of reacting to status updates is unquestionably improved by this.
The paper claims that giving people the option to respond to a status update using avatars has clear benefits over just using one of the 8 available emojis. This is especially advantageous since an avatar would enable users to more fully convey their feelings, moving beyond the constraints often imposed by the brief language of emojis.
When an emoji is insufficient, the presence of avatars motivates people to react, it was added. The ability to respond to status updates with avatars is currently being worked on, and it will be included in a next app version.
BEST VIDEOS
In the meanwhile, WhatsApp users have access to HD video functionality, which essentially means that any video material you wish to share with friends or family won’t be compressed and will be sent in HD or 1280720 quality.
This Monday, WhatsApp users on Android gained access to the function. Users must manually pick the video quality they wish to share, exactly as with the HD picture option.
