Ambati Rayudu, Formerly Of India And CSK, Joins The YSR Congress In The Presence Of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy

Ambati Rayudu, a former cricket player from India, has joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress. On Thursday, Andhra Chief Minister and leader of the YRS Congress, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, admitted Rayudu into the party.

MP Midhun Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Narayanaswamy were also present. In June of this year, Rayudu declared his intention to enter politics. That same month, he met with Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss building top-notch sports facilities and providing education for the poor.

In 55 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), he amassed 1694 runs at an average of 47.05. His highest performance was 124 runs without a loss. In ODI cricket, he scored ten fifties and three hundreds for India. In six Twenty20 International matches, he also scored 42 runs for India. In domestic cricket, Rayadu has also played for Hyderabad, Andhra, Baroda, and Vidarbha. He joined CSK in 2018, and in 90 games, he averaged 30.18 and scored 1,932 runs. For CSK, he scored a hundred and eight fifty, with a peak score of 100*.

Over the course of his 204 IPL appearances, he has amassed 4,348 runs with a strike rate of 127.24 and an average of 28.23. He had a top score of 100* and one hundred and twenty-two fifties. In league history, he ranks as the 12th-highest scorer. He won the IPL title six times, with MI in 2013, 2015, and 2017 and CSK in 2018, 2021, and 2023. Because of his many trophies and great performance as a batter, he is among the most successful players in the history of the league.
