There is a discussion in the political corridor that senior BJP leader Pankaja Munde is being sidelined again and again. Meanwhile, the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi), which is trying to strengthen its hold on Maharashtra, has made an open offer of the chief minister’s post to Pankaja Munde. Meanwhile, NCP spokesperson Amol Mitkari has given a big statement. He said, Pankaja Munde will soon join NCP. Mitkari said, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule is aware of this. He was talking to ‘TV9 Marathi’ in Dharashiv.
When asked about Pankaja Munde’s displeasure and BRS’s offer, Amol Mitkari said, ‘Eknath Khadse had met Pankaja Munde. If we look at the developments since then, Pankaja Munde has to a large extent been subjected to constant humiliation by the BJP. That’s why we believe, Pankaja Munde can join NCP. Pankaja Munde is the daughter of Gopinath Munde. They are the leadership of Maharashtra. That’s why everyone thought that she should be in our party. That’s why I also feel that she should be in our party.”
Mitkari said, “What the BRS or MIM should offer to Pankaja Munde is his question. But I don’t think that Pankaja Munde will accept his proposal and go after BRS. Those who are trapped in the clutches of BRS, their future in Maharashtra is not good. Because the Chief Minister of Telangana has not yet given any face to BRS in Maharashtra. So this is a pink storm, it will calm down in a few days. But only Chandrashekhar Bawankule in BJP knows that ‘Pankjatai’ will leave his party and join NCP in a few days.
If Pankaja Munde joins NCP, will she be given the chief minister’s post? When asked, Amol Mitkari further said, “Who wants to become the Chief Minister?” It is completely the decision of the party. As far as I know, she is the daughter of Gopinathrao Munde, who fought a great battle for OBCs in Bahujan Samaj. She can lead in Maharashtra. This is strong leadership. If she joins our party, then definitely the strength of our party will increase. The rest of the question is about the post of Chief Minister and this decision is of Sharad Pawar.
