According to reports, a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics was shot down by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday when it approached an Indian hamlet close to the Indo-Pak border in Punjab.
A drone was heard buzzing in the Amritsar hamlet of Dhanoe Khurd, according to a statement released by the BSF at about 9.30 p.m. yesterday.
They were able to shoot the drone down at that point.
According to the statement, BSF personnel found a drone in the village’s fields during later inspections of the region.
The soldiers also saw three individuals rushing in the direction of the hamlet and apprehended one of the suspects along with a bag that contained a shipment of three packages of drugs totaling 3.4 kg in weight.
According to the report, the shipment was also discovered to be linked to an iron hook and four fluorescent strips.
