At the third Global Maritime India Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday officially opened and laid the cornerstone for port-related projects worth over Rs 18,800 crore.

Investors, he said, could collaborate with the nation and take part in the IMEEC (India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor).

India took the initiative to forge an agreement on the corridor during the G-20 meeting, according to PM Modi, who participated in the Global Maritime India meeting online.

Few nations have the advantages of development, population, democracy, and demand, according to PM Modi, who also welcomed foreign investors to support India’s development.

He stated that his administration has been trying to enhance the marine sector for the last nine to ten years. He claimed that anytime India’s maritime capabilities have been strong in history, both the nation and the globe have benefited.

At the third iteration of the summit, PM Modi officially opened and laid the cornerstone for port-related projects worth over Rs 18,800 crore.

In Gujarat, at the Deendayal Port Authority, he also laid the cornerstone for the construction of the Rs 4,539 crore Tuna Tekra all-weather deep-draft terminal, which would support the development of the India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor.
