The Backstreet Boys, one of the most well-known boy bands in the world, played at Jio Gardens in BKC on Thursday night to thousands of fans.

The band opened the over two-hour performance with the classic song “I wanna be with you,” and then went on to scream out hit after hit, including “The call” and “Don’t want you back,” while the audience sang along in a frenzy.

As soon as Brian entered the stage, he said, “Namaste Mumbai” to his audience. He even made an attempt to converse with the crowd in Hindi, pulling out a piece of paper and saying, “Kaise hain aap,” before deciding that Namaste was the finest.

Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson, cousins, make up the band. Florida was the setting for the group’s 1993 formation, and “Backstreet Boys” was the catalyst for their success.

After thirteen years, it finally came in India on Wednesday for the DNA World Tour 2023 organized by Book My Show, for which they will also do their next performance in Delhi on May 5.

Nick said that someone ought to have forewarned them about how hot it is in India while the band played songs like “Get down,” “I want you back,” and “incomplete.” He said, “It is not the weather that is making it hot, it is because of all of you.”

“We didn’t realize we had so many BSB fans, but we adore it now that we do. We’re back in India for the second time, and we’ve been waiting a long time to see Mumbai, he remarked.

A J Mclean entered the stage after “Drowning” and urged the audience to continue singing, dancing, and yelling as loudly as they could, saying that they were only halfway through.

The next time, Kevin said, “it won’t be just two cities, but four, five, and six cities.” Kevin then joined him on stage. The band sang some of their most enduring tunes from the 1990s, making it a night to remember. As they performed, people of all ages could be seen bopping to their beats.

When the band played one of their most well-liked songs, they immediately connected with the crowd. “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”

The crew was decked up entirely in black.

The band members were rather taken aback when the hotel workers here on Wednesday welcomed them with a performance of “Everybody (Backstreet’s back)”.

Later, Nick Carter praised the action in a video that he shared on Instagram. “In my whole career, I have never seen something like this where the hotel staff is dancing. This is absurd,” Carter said in the video.

The band modified their song “I want it that way” to express their affection for the city. They sang, “I want it Mumbai’s way.
