According to a report, the Centre has banned 14 mobile messaging apps that claim to have been used by terrorist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the research, the applications may have also been used to link with organizations located in Pakistan and facilitate contact among terrorist group sympathizers and their local agents.
Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second Line, Zangi, and Threema are the names of these prohibited applications.
According to media sources, the defense forces, intelligence, security, and certain investment agencies recommended that the restriction be implemented.
