The Indian market is already buzzing about Tata Altroz iCNG. Having said that, the domestic manufacturer began taking reservations for the CNG Altroz last month for a pittance of Rs 21,000. The premium hatchback’s brochure has been posted online before its formal debut. According to recent rumors, it’s expected that the Altroz iCNG will be available in six trim levels: XE, XM+, XM+ (S), XZ, XZ+ (S), and XZ+ O (S).

A 4-inch digital instrument cluster and standard safety features will be included in the Altroz iCNG’s lowest XE trim. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with four speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice assistance, steering-mounted controls, central locking, remote keyless entry, electric foldable ORVMs, and front and rear USB ports are just a few of the creature comforts included with the XM+ variant.

Tata has filled the XZ+ O (S) model with a ton of helpful features. Leather seats, a rearview camera with dynamic guideways, automatic headlights, an electric sunroof with voice assistance, height-adjustable front seat belts, a rear fog lamp, an 8-speaker audio system, connected car technology with Remote Vehicle Control through Smartphone, TPMS, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, an air purifier, and a wireless charger are some of the features listed above.

A 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine will power the Tata Altroz iCNG. The engine is extremely polished and is the same one that powers the typical Altroz. The 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine of the Altroz iCNG produces 76 BHP and 97 Nm when running on CNG and 84 BHP and 113 Nm when running on gasoline. It is important to note that the appearance of the Altroz CNG is mostly unchanged from the ordinary model. The only distinguishing feature between the Altroz iCNG and the basic model is the ‘iCNG’ sticker on the tailgate.

Customers who are on the lookout for a dependable hatchback and are wary of the growing cost of gas will be catered to by the Tata Altroz iCNG. After the Tiago and Tigor, the Altroz CNG is Tata’s third vehicle with a factory-installed CNG kit.

The outstanding fuel efficiency of Tiago and Tigor’s CNG variants is 26.49 km/kg. The Altroz CNG is probably going to have a range like that. In the Indian market, Tata Altroz iCNG will face competition from vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG and Toyota Glanza CNG.
