Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP president JP Nadda has given party general secretaries special duties.
Vinod Tawde has been tasked by the party with leading the committee on new members. A number of prominent figures make up this panel, including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhupender Yadav, and Anurag Singh Thakur. Prior to the big fight, the committee will evaluate the opinions, backgrounds, and ideological stances of people wishing to join the BJP.
The BJP’s general secretary and seasoned organizational specialist, Sunil Bansal, will oversee the party’s media and campaign efforts, assisting in the development of the party’s national canvassing plan.
The outreach committee is led by Dushyant Gautam, another general secretary of the party. In order to organize the outreach to different segments of society, this panel also includes a number of Union ministers. This time around, women and young people—especially those who are voting for the first time—are the main emphasis. To win over voters, the party intends to host “sammelans” throughout India.
As the party’s new general secretary, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal is in charge of drafting its vision statement. The party’s five-year plan and primary areas of concentration will be worked on by the Agarwal-led committee.
In the near future, the party is probably going to announce a number of committees in order to improve election administration, among other appointments.
In addition to his organizational duties, Vinod Tawde is in charge of Bihar, while Sunil Bansal is in charge of Bengal and co-in charge of Telangana. Kerala is overseen by Agarwal as well.
With the BJP-led Union government vying for a third term in power and Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a third term as prime minister, this is a crucial election. The saffron party, an efficient electoral apparatus, is trying to cover every ground. JP Nadha, the national head of the BJP, reminded the cadre of the catchphrase “Abki Baar 400 Paar” at one of their recent meetings.
