On Thursday, an Army jawan was discovered dead on a railroad track close to Ambala Cantt Railway Station with his skull crushed and one arm and leg amputated.

Police claim that U K Yadav, a citizen of Rai Bareli’s Nathkheda hamlet in Uttar Pradesh, was the soldier who died. He was sent to the Ambala Cantonment in the Army as a Naik.

According to the police, the first inquiry seemed to indicate that it was an accident; nevertheless, suicide cannot be ruled out.

The soldier must have been crossing the railway when the event apparently occurred late on Wednesday night, according to the Government Railway Police.

According to the police, the jawan’s head and torso were crushed by the train, and his left arm, shoulder, and left leg were discovered hacked off.

A journal discovered in his pocket allowed investigators to determine his identity. There was no train ticket on him.

According to GRP Station In-Charge Dharamveer Singh, information of the incident reached the Railway Police Control Room early in the day.

The soldier’s corpse has been transported by police to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem, and his family has been notified.
