According to announcements from oil marketing companies (OMCs), fuel prices in India have generally stayed steady as of today, Saturday, April 29. Since May 2022, when the federal government and some states reduced gasoline taxes, the fuel prices have remained the same. Prices in Gurugram, Noida, and Lucknow are somewhat higher on April 29 than they were the previous day, while prices in Chennai are slightly lower.
On April 29, the cost of gasoline in Delhi remained constant at Rs 96.72 per litre, while the cost of diesel was Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, the price of gasoline on April 29 remained over the Rs 100 threshold at Rs 106.31 a liter, while the price of diesel was Rs 94.72.
In comparison to other cities, the cost of gasoline per litre in Noida was Rs 96.79, while the cost of diesel was Rs 89.96. Petrol costs Rs 97.18 a liter in Gurugram, while diesel is priced at Rs 90.05. Diesel costs Rs 90.07 per liter and gasoline costs Rs 96.88 per liter in Lucknow.
At six in the morning on each day, the new or unchanged prices for gasoline and diesel are announced. However, because of value-added tax (VAT), freight costs, local taxes, etc., these differ from state to state.

According to a Reuters article, oil prices increased by more than 2% on Friday as energy companies reported profitable quarters and US statistics revealed that crude production was falling while fuel demand was rising.
Brent futures for June delivery increased $1.17, or 1.5%, to conclude at $79.54 a barrel on its final day as the front-month, while the more frequently traded July contract increased 2.7% to close at $80.33. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for the US increased $2.02, or 2.7%, to close at $76.78.
