Cong Leader Patole: There Are Efforts On To Create A Situation Similar To Manipur In Maharashtra

On Wednesday, Nana Patole, the president of the Maharashtra Congress, took aim at both the federal government and the Eknath Shinde-led state administration, alleging that both were attempting to incite social unrest and turn the state into a replica of Manipur.

He was speaking to party members in the Thane district of Kalyan. Since the first week of May, Manipur has seen ethnic violence, which has resulted in a number of fatalities. “An attempt is being made in Maharashtra to cause riots and create a situation like Manipur through various incidents of social unrest,” he said.

“Social unrest incidents are occurring one after another throughout the state. There is no other option to the Congress if democracy and the Constitution are to be upheld in the nation. Its actions demonstrate that the BJP has little regard for the nation’s citizens, according to Patole.

He said that the Congress strived to build the nation and accused the Narendra Modi administration of selling the assets of various PSUs. Because only Congress can address the issues facing ordinary people, he said, the Congress prevailed in Karnataka.

Inflation, unemployment, and women’s safety are just a few of the concerns that are being brought up and manufactured, he said. According to Patole, there were no disputes in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), and the three constituencies would stand united in the next elections. The Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation, he said, were no longer causes for concern.
