Congress Releases Their Sixth And Final List Of Candidates In The Karnataka Elections

Early on Thursday morning, the Congress unveiled its sixth and final list of five candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka.

Inayath Ali from Mangalore City North, BV Rajeev Gowda from Sidlaghatta, S Anand Kumar from C V Raman Nagar (SC), and Mohammed Shalem from Raichur were all included in the final list.

On Wednesday, the party nominated Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan to run in Mohammad Yousuf Savanur’s place from the Shiggaon seat in Karnataka, which is now led by Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai.

In the 2018 elections, Bommai beat Sayed Azeempeer Khadri Shiggaon, a candidate for the Congress.

On Wednesday, the party unveiled its fifth list, which included three new faces: B C Muddugangadhar from Mulbagal (SC), D K Mohan from K R Pura, and A C Srinivasa from Pulakeshinagar (SC).

With the sixth list, the Congress has revealed 223 candidates, giving the regional Sarvodaya Karnataka Party one seat in the 224-member legislature.

The deadline to submit nominations is April 20.

On May 10, the state’s BJP-controlled assembly elections will be conducted, and on May 13, the results will be made public.
