Cyclone Biparjoy: Alert In Many States Of The Country, How Dangerous Is This Storm?

Cyclonic storm Biparjoy is rapidly turning into a severe cyclonic storm. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), this storm will intensify during the next 48 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone will move north-northwest during the next three days.

The Meteorological Department has not yet predicted any major impact on the countries adjacent to the Arabian Sea including India, Oman, Iran and Pakistan.

According to IMD, Cyclone Biparjoy is hovering over the east-central and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea. The storm is about 870 km west-southwest of Goa and 930 km southwest of Mumbai. The storm is passing through with great intensity. This storm can turn into a cyclonic storm in the coming 48 hours.

Atmospheric conditions and cloud mass are indicating that a very severe cyclone may emerge by June 12. This cyclone has turned into a severe cyclonic storm. It is currently centered about 1,060 km southwest of Gujarat’s coastal district of Porbandar. The state government is fully prepared to deal with possible natural calamities.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for fishermen along the coast of Karnataka. They have been asked not to go to the Arabian Sea because of the dangerous weather conditions.

According to the Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), high waves in the range of 2.3-3.2 meters are likely to occur along the coast from Mangaluru to Karwar due to the storm.

Cyclone Biparjoy’s Impact on India

Due to this cyclone, monsoon conditions can be created in the next 48 hours in Kerala. It may weaken due to cyclone Biparjoy. Due to this storm, the flow of westerly winds has increased over the South Arabian Sea.

An increase in the depth of the westerly winds can be seen up to the mid-tropospheric level. Its effect can also be seen on the coasts of the Southeast Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep and Kerala. Conditions are becoming favorable for the onset of the Monsoon over Kerala during the next 48 hours.
