Cyclone Biparjoy Will Hit The Coastal Areas Of Konkan In The Next 48 Hours, Alert For Rain And Thunderstorms In Maharashtra

These days it is raining with strong winds in some areas of Maharashtra, while in some areas the heat is wreaking havoc. In such a situation, now there is cruising of cyclone. A low pressure area has formed in the Arabian Ocean and the Meteorological Department has predicted that this low pressure area will turn into a storm in the next 24 to 48 hours. The danger of possible storm will remain in the coastal areas of Konkan, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, Thane, Palghar including Mumbai, it will rain with strong winds.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a cyclone in the southeast direction in the Arabian Ocean, due to which a low pressure area has formed in the ocean, this low pressure area will move north in the next 24 to 48 hours and its capacity will increase further. This storm will turn into a cyclone and will intensify on June 8 and 9, during which the sea will be rough and the wind speed will be 90 kilometers per hour.

At present, in view of the apprehensions of the storm, a ban has been imposed on the movement of fishermen in the Arabian Sea. Earlier in 2020, Cyclone Nisarga and Cyclone Toukte in 2021 had caused devastation in the coastal areas of Maharashtra. The name of the cyclone being formed in the Arabian Sea is ‘Biparjoy’, this name has been given by Bangladesh. At present, all the government agencies along with the Meteorological Department are monitoring the changes in the weather happening in the Arabian Ocean.
