A 20-year-old college girl was brutally assaulted last week in Delhi near her flat.
According to reports, the guy reportedly threatened the lady with an obscene video while pretending to be a police officer.
Ravi Solanki, the guy, was taken into custody on Thursday.
Details of the event
According to reports, on July 7, Solanki reportedly recorded a video on his phone of the young lady and her boyfriend riding in his vehicle.
After dropping her off outside the apartment, her boyfriend entered the complex and introduced himself as a police officer.
He reportedly threatened to upload the footage after showing her.
Police claim that the lady was sexually assaulted on the steps.
The lady told her boyfriend what had happened, and the duo called the police together.
Given that the victim was unfamiliar to the assailant, the authorities referred to the incident as a “blind case.”
The police were able to find the accused guy with the use of evidence such as a drawing based on the woman’s description and CCTV video.
