On social media, a video of the nephew of Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas vandalizing a hotel while intoxicated has gone viral. According to hotel owner Abhimanyu Singh, the issue started on Wednesday when accused Harshdeep Khachariyawas came with a group of five to six persons intoxicated and got into a fight with another guest.

“They then requested that the hotel employees look for the visitor by opening each room. We refused to let the rooms open. They then summoned in 20 to 25 more individuals and began to vandalize the hotel’s property. ANI, a news source, cited Singh as saying.

“These lads eventually tried to erase the footage captured by our CCTV cameras, but we managed to recover the recordings. We are now being abused and threatened. We have gotten countless calls, and there is a lot of pressure on us, the hotel owner said.

Shiv Narayan, SHO of Jaipur’s Vaishali Police Station, said, “An FIR has been lodged. The complaint will serve as the basis for the investigation. We’ll take legal action against the offender.”

However, Singh said that “threats and harassment” prevented them from including the CCTV footage in the FIR. As Harshdeep is a minister’s cousin, some have suggested that the case’s conclusion would be negative for the hotel’s business. However, the owner responded, “I have faith in the Ashok Gehlot government and the justice system.”
