Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, revealed on the microblogging platform on Sunday that he is updating the Twitter logo. The new Twitter logo, which bears the initials ‘X’, was also revealed by the CEO of Tesla on the social media network.
And soon, the Twitter name and eventually all the birds will be gone. Elon Musk tweeted, “If a nice enough X logo is uploaded tonight, we’ll make go live globally tomorrow.
“If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow,” he said. After a merger, according to sources, Twitter is now a part of a new business named X Corp. ‘X’ was posted on Elon Musk’s Twitter account as a clue. Elon Musk is hawking xAI, his artificial intelligence business, which he claims will “understand the universe.”
Unverified accounts are now subject to daily limitations on the number of direct messages they may send on Twitter. The company said that users without a verified badge or a Twitter Blue membership would be impacted by the changes starting on Friday.
The firm did not specify the precise DM cap, but made it clear that users who wish to send an unlimited number of DMs must subscribe to Twitter Blue, a premium service that costs Rs 900 a month in India and comes with a number of features and benefits.
Elon Musk has recently asked Twitter users to upgrade to verified subscribers status, promising them a monthly income of hundreds of dollars from ad revenue sharing.
He urged them to sign up for Twitter Blue, a premium membership, without clarifying how they could do this without recording 5 million monthly impressions and having more than 10,000 followers—the two essential requirements for earning money through ad revenue sharing on Twitter.
