Two individuals tragically lost their lives when a devastating collision occurred between a car and their motorcycle in Palghar district. The victims, identified as Narendra Chintaman Bari, aged 42, and Rupesh Bari, aged 40, had been diligently working and were on their way home when the fateful incident transpired at approximately 7:30 pm on a somber Sunday evening. The heart-wrenching event unfolded near Palgaon, situated in the Boisar Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area.
Both Narendra and Rupesh were employed at a company operating within the MIDC. The sheer impact of the head-on collision proved fatal, prompting the authorities to promptly transport the lifeless bodies to a government hospital, where they would undergo a necessary post-mortem examination.
In response to the grievous incident, law enforcement officials wasted no time in detaining the car driver involved in the collision. Moreover, the driver has been subjected to legal action under the relevant provisions outlined in both the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act. It is important to note that three additional individuals were present in the car at the time of the accident.
At present, the investigating officers are unable to ascertain whether the car driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, further highlighting the severity of the situation and the need for a thorough investigation.
