A man and his 16-year-old son were apprehended by the police in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Friday, following their alleged involvement in a fatal stabbing.
According to Senior Inspector Kailas Barve of Valiv police station, the father-son duo assaulted Ankit Shah, a 21-year-old individual, with scissors on Thursday night at Wakad Pada. Sadly, Ankit Shah succumbed to his injuries.
The victim’s body was subsequently sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the case.
Although the motive for the murder remains unknown, the police suspect that it may be linked to a personal grudge or animosity.
The individuals involved in this incident have been identified as Suresh Shah, aged 45, and his son, Rahul Shah, aged 16. They have been charged under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
The police are presently interrogating the accused in order to gather further information regarding the incident.
