According to police, a guy has been arrested in this area of Uttar Pradesh for reportedly insulting and threatening to murder BJP Lawmaker Dinanath Bhaskar. Dilip Dubey, the defendant, is a resident of Mahdepur Kairmau in the Bhadohi district and was previously charged under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for allegedly abusing Bhaskar, a member of the Dalit group, using harsh words. On Sunday, Dubey reportedly phoned the MLA who represents the Aurai seat in the Assembly and put pressure on him to get the part of the prior case against him that dealt with Dalit harassment erased. Police Superintendent (SP) Anil Kumar said that he threatened the lawmaker and used obscene language.

A new case against Dubey was filed at the Aurai police station under the pertinent provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities Act) and the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) in response to a complaint from the MLA. Police teams have been sent out, according to the SP, to apprehend the suspect. The accused allegedly threatened to murder the MLA in an audio tape that has been made public, according to the police.

Three months ago, Dubey reportedly phoned senior BJP politician Rishi Shukla and used harsh language about Bhaskar. As a result, Shukla filed a complaint against Dubey. According to the SP, police have a chargesheet in that instance.
