FIR Filed Against Sanjay Raut After He Called The Maharashtra Government “illegal”

According to a police officer, Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), has a complaint filed against him in Nashik, Maharashtra, for allegedly using his comments to stoke tension between the people and the police.
According to Nashik City Police, MP and leader of the Uddhav faction Sanjay Raut has a complaint filed against him at Mumbai Naka Police Station under section 505(1)(b) of the IPC for allegedly stirring up trouble between the people and the police by statements he made.
The purpose to produce, or which is likely to cause, fear or anxiety to the general public, or to any segment of the general public, whereby any person may be persuaded to commit an offense against the State or against the public peace, is addressed in IPC segment 505 (1) (b).
Police have reportedly taken suo moto notice of Raut’s comments, and a FIR has been filed at the Mumbai Naka police station in Nashik, according to officials.
“Sanjay Raut in a statement against the state government said that the present government is illegal and their orders should not be followed,” they said.
They stated, “Further inquiry is under progress.
