After Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive performance against the West Indies in the third T20I, former Pakistan wicketkeeper and batsman Kamran Akmal showered accolades on the swashbuckling Indian batsman. In Guyana, the ICC number one T20I hitter destroyed the home team’s bowlers, giving India a vital victory that would keep the series alive. Following the early departures of the openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill in the challenging 160-run chase, the flamboyant batter accepted responsibility for himself.

SKY consistently scored boundaries to hold India in the lead in the case. To captivate the crowd, he performed some beautiful ramp and sweep shots.

India completed the 160-run chase with 13 balls remaining thanks to the 32-year-old’s 83 runs off 44 balls.

Akmal praised Suryakumar and said he was a player who could sway the outcome of the match on his own.

“Even if early wickets were lost, things were still OK because the older hitters took over and made sure the task was done. The former Pakistan wicketkeeper said on his YouTube channel that Suryakumar Yadav is the kind of player who, when on, just turns the game one-sided.

Speaking on India’s victory in the third T20I, he said that the team changed several aspects of their strategy, which enabled them to dominate West Indies in the chase.

“Batting has seen a noticeable transformation. There has been an understanding that “Hey, we are doing something wrong and we need to change it if we want to win games” and a feeling of responsibility, he said.

Tilak Varma (49 not out off 37) and Surya both contributed significantly with the bat during the pair’s important 87-run partnership. In his first series, Tilak missed his second consecutive fifty as captain Hardik Pandya (20 not out off 15) blasted the decisive six.

Akmal said that India has a strong batting lineup that can score 200 runs in a T20I match even without Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

“Even without superstar batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Indian batting order can still achieve 200 runs. They just need to demonstrate the same level of game awareness and make sure the openers are using the powerplay. Everything comes into place when you prepare and act in accordance with the circumstances, the speaker said.
