In the second and third weeks of September, the Indian Air Force is scheduled to conduct a significant training exercise known as “Trishul” in the northern sector near the borders with China and Pakistan. According to IAF authorities, all key fighter fleets, including the Rafale, Mirage 2000, and Su-30MKIs, as well as heavy-lift transport planes and helicopters, such the Chinook and Apache, would take part in the maneuvers.

“The Garud Special Forces are also part of the drills where all elements of air power are likely to be exercised in the exercise to be held from September 4 to 14 in the northern sector including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab,” they said.

The G-20 Leaders’ Summit will take place in Delhi on September 9 and 10, and in the meanwhile, the Indian Air Force is placing all of its equipment on high alert. All of the top world leaders will be present in the capital for the summit.

To counter any potential aerial danger, the IAF has also begun activating and repositioning its surface-to-air defence armament systems, notably the Akash missile systems.

The anti-drone devices that the security services have already deployed can jam any tiny drones or, if necessary, may eliminate them using other methods.
