The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team began the 16th season of the Indian Premier League with a victory (IPL). In a prominent match, the RCB faced Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (MI). As they regularly lost their top-order batsmen, MI got off to a horrible start. MI achieved the 150-run mark in 19.1 overs. With an unbeaten 84 off 46 balls with nine fours and four sixes, Tilak was MI’s lone super star as they finished at 171/7.
In the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore easily defeated Mumbai Indians by an eight-wicket margin because to Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 82 and Faf du Plessis’ 73.
There was time to rejoice in the RCB locker room after the team had won. Faf Du Plessis, the captain of the RCB, started the celebration in the locker room, and Virat Kohli swiftly joined in. The RCB players and support personnel sang the national song with great fervour and excitement.
Captain du Plessis, the more aggressive of the two, helped RCB break the 50-run mark in only 5.3 overs. Without losing a wicket, Bangalore scored 53 runs in the first six over of the powerplay. The Mumbai Indians’ bowlers were unable to contain du Plessis, who rapidly achieved his fifty-first run in just 29 balls.
