This cyclone is expected to hit on Thursday (June 15) in the afternoon. But even before the cyclone, heavy rains, surge in sea waves and strong winds can be seen in these coastal areas.
It is raining continuously in the coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat, the Indian Meteorological Department says that this storm will have a widespread impact in 8 districts of the state. On the other hand, the government, army and other security agencies have rescued more than 30 thousand people so that the life of the people living in the coastal areas is not affected by this cyclone so that it does not affect them.
Hundreds of people are being evacuated from coastal villages to safer places in view of Cyclone Biparjoy, but the villagers are worried that if they leave their animals and move to other places, the animals may get harmed in this disaster. The people of the village do not want to leave their belongings, houses and animals.
The Indian Meteorological Department says that the districts of Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Jamnagar are expected to be most affected by this cyclone. People in Ashirwad village, about five kilometers from the coast in Kutch district, agreed to leave only after police and revenue officials held a pacification meeting with them. Government’s labor officer CT Bhatt said that the administration wants that there should be no casualty in the cyclone. Local people say that we rear animals for our survival. We cannot leave them behind. Those who have kutcha houses, they will go away. Women and children will be sent to shelters.
