Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, said on Sunday that the Army and Air Force would be enlisted if necessary for flood relief efforts in the midst of the state’s severe rainfall.

At 1:30 am, he conducted a virtual conference with his staff members and gave them instructions on how to handle the problem.

In Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Alirajpur, and Indore, Chouhan claimed to have evaluated the situation created by the severe rains and spoken with authorities in these districts.

The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) and NDRF are working in these regions, and while the flow of water bodies and the amount of rain have decreased, the situation is still under control, he added.

“In the impacted regions, the water has begun to recede. We work hard to keep everyone safe. The army and air force will also be enlisted if necessary, according to Chouhan.
