The capital region’s Hyderabad Metro Rail network will soon be expanded, according to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.The statement, which was made during the opening of Haritha Haram Phase-9 in Ranga Reddy’s Tumuluru village, has sparked enthusiasm among the locals.
This construction is expected to completely transform public transportation in Hyderabad with the addition of the Shamshabad airport and the anticipated link to Kandukur.
In response to Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy’s demand that the Metro Rail be extended to Kandukur, Chief Minister KCR recognized the pressing nature of this request and pledged to move quickly. He emphasized that the planning authorities should at the very least include the Shamshabad airport in the first stages of the Metro Rail line. It was determined that the prior plans’ omission of the airport was a serious error that had to be corrected right now.
Tenders have been released to build the airport link, which is expected to cost Rs 6,000 crore, in order to close this critical gap. The public was directly reassured by Chief Minister KCR of his intention to expanding the Metro Rail into the Maheshwaram constituency in the near future, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and public transportation.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need of Metro Rail connection along the LB Nagar-BHEL route, saying that it was a crucial necessity. While the network had been extended to the LB Nagar end, work on extending it to BHEL was still in progress but would be finished quickly. KCR further announced the establishment of a medical school in the Maheshwaram electoral district.
Chandrashekar Rao announced the government’s permission of a power substation in Tumulur gram panchayat as part of its initiatives to strengthen neighborhood groups. A grant of Rs. 15 lakh will also be given to each gram panchayat, and Rs. 25 lakh would be given to each municipality within the assembly constituency. These programs are designed to improve the areas and promote socioeconomic development.
The inclusion of the Shamshabad airport and the intended link to Kandukur, together with the construction of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network, are examples of the government’s goal for a prosperous and well-connected capital area. In addition to improving convenience and accessibility for locals, these initiatives will also promote economic expansion and general connectedness. Hyderabad’s infrastructure for public transit seems to have a better future than before.
