Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, said on Thursday that authorities had coerced a driver into admitting that he had been his narcotics supplier.
According to the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Shehbaz Sharif’s federal administration has gone to considerable lengths to have him disqualified or imprisoned in advance of general elections later this year.
Since he was removed from office in April of last year as the result of losing a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly, Khan has been accused of terrorism, violence, blasphemy, corruption, and murder in more than 140 instances throughout the nation. Because of his autonomous choices towards Russia, China, and Afghanistan in his foreign policy, he has claimed that his removal was a part of a US-led plot.
“Someone I know sent me a package of sneakers. Their driver brought it over to my home. The driver was harassed and threatened by the police when they showed up at his residence two days later, compelling him to claim that he had come to deliver a package of cocaine to him, the driver said in a tweet.
Khan also shared a photo of a pair of sneakers that had been sent to him.
He continued by saying that this is what occurs when crooks rule a nation.
“They aim to persuade the country that everyone is equally corrupt in addition to appointing corrupt criminals to significant positions. It demonstrates the criminal organization’s desperation since they are prepared to go to tremendous lengths to have me disqualified or imprisoned, according to the PTI chairman.
The leaders of the governing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) publicly claim that Khan consumes narcotics and needs them to live in prison.
According to Pakistan’s interior minister Rana Sanaullah, Imran Khan is frightened of going to prison because he knows he won’t be able to get narcotics there.
