The Alibag court on Saturday found Union Minister Narayan Rane not guilty of making “provocative words” against former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Also, the court revoked the bail bonds he submitted in this instance. During an occasion earlier in 2021, Rane said that Thackeray was unaware of the year when India gained independence and declared, “I would have delivered a stiff slap.”
Leaders of the Shiv Sena fiercely denounced Rane’s comments. Vinayak Raut, the head of the party, demanded that he be removed from the union government.
In response to accusations made by Shiv Sena leaders, FIRs were filed against Rane in a number of locations, including Nashik and Pune. In 2021, a complaint was filed against Rane at the Chaturshringi police station under sections 153 and 505 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
As per media reports, An FIR was also registered against Rane in 2021at Mahad in Raigad under Indian Penal Code Sections 189 , 504 and 505 (statements conducive to public mischief).
