India and Japan had their second deputy NSA-level strategic discussion on Thursday, during which they addressed improving their defense and economic security cooperation as well as crucial and emerging technologies.
The 2nd India-Japan Deputy NSA Strategic Dialogue was co-chaired by Deputy NSA Vikram Misri and Deputy Secretary General Keiichi Ichikawa of Japan.
According to reports, topics covered included improving defense cooperation, economic security, and crucial and developing technologies.
According to them, they also discussed regional and international issues.
Misri visited South Korea on August 22 and 23. Misri visited Cho Tae-young, South Korea’s national security adviser, in Seoul where they spoke about essential and emerging technologies, supply chain resilience, and defense collaboration.
Misri had also met with Kim Tae-hyo, the first deputy director of national security, and the two had talked about enhancing bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields, including science and technology, supply chain resilience, and the defense industry and technology.
