In a strong protest against recent assaults on Sikh community members in the neighbouring nation, India summoned a top diplomat in the Pakistan High Commission on Monday, according to reports.
Between April and June of this year, there were four such episodes of assaults against Sikhs, and it is understood that New Delhi has taken significant notice of them, according to sources.
According to sources, “India has demanded that Pakistani authorities conduct an honest investigation into these violent attacks against the Sikh community and share the investigation reports.”
A Sikh man was killed on June 24 in Peshawar by unidentified gunmen while riding an autorickshaw home.
Manmohan Singh was recognised as the dead.
