Jofra Archer’s injury forced Mumbai Indians (MI) to pick Chris Jordan as his substitute for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Archer will go back home to concentrate on his recovery.
“Since making his IPL debut in 2016, Jordan has appeared in 28 IPL games and taken 27 wickets. The quick bowler has 96 T20I wickets to his name and has played 87 T20Is for England. “Jordan joins MI for INR 2 Crore,” the release said.
Archer’s health is being closely watched since he will be joining the English Test team for the Ashes when the IPL is over. The pacer may not play any first-class cricket for Sussex until the much anticipated series against Australia at home, according to the club.
