Russia’s military fired missiles into the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa overnight. At least three people were killed and more than a dozen people were injured in this attack. The local administration gave this information. The attacks damaged several houses, shops and a warehouse.

The regional administration said on Facebook that the strikes from the Black Sea included four Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the sea, three of which were intercepted by the air defense system. According to the regional administration, three employees of a food warehouse were killed and seven others were injured in the attack. Rescue workers are still searching for survivors under the rubble. Five people living in nearby houses and a security guard were also injured in the attack.

“As a result of the aerial combat and sustained blasting, a business centre, an educational institution, a residential complex, food establishments and several shops in the city center were damaged,” the southern command said on the Telegram messaging app. The army said the three men killed were working in a warehouse of a retail chain when a missile hit, setting it on fire. Seven people were injured there. “The search for the debris is on. More people may be trapped under,” the army said.

Ukraine’s General Staff spokesman Andrey Kovalov told that the Russian army has increased missile and air strikes on Ukraine. He said at a press conference that in addition to the Odessa region, attacks were carried out in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kirovohrad. These include the KH-22 cruise missile, the sea-launched Kalibr cruise missile and the Iran-made Shaheed drone. Nine of these were killed.
