Kylian Mbappe Declines PSG’s 10-year, $1 Billion Contract And Is Put Up For Sale Right Away

After the French superstar declined to sign a contract extension with the Ligue 1 club and was also left out of the team for a preseason tour of Japan, thereby raising questions about the star striker’s future, Paris Saint-Germain has decided to put Kylian Mbappe up for sale.

The French star’s absence was not publicly explained by PSG, but according to sources, he declined to sign a 10-year, $1 billion deal. Mbappe would have stayed at PSG until the age of 34 under the agreement, which was likely one of the most expensive. It would have functioned as a lifetime contract.

PSG has reportedly decided to sell Mbappe in current window, according to publications in France.

Mbappe said in May that he would not renew his PSG contract, which ends next year, but that he did want to play one more season for the team.

He said, “I still have a year remaining on my contract, and I’m going to honor it.

That would enable him to leave PSG for free when he becomes a free agent next summer.

Nasser al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, responded by declaring earlier this month that Mbappe “must sign a new contract”.

The greatest player in the world right now cannot be allowed to depart for nothing. It’s not feasible, Khelaifi said.

Ethan Mbappe, 16, and the club’s only surviving star Neymar will be among the 29-player PSG team that departs for the east on Saturday.

Mbappe has been taking part in the club’s preseason training, and on Friday, he played the last 30 minutes of PSG’s match against Le Havre at the training facility, scoring a goal.

With Luis Enrique serving as coach, the club is now under new leadership.

On July 25, they play in Osaka, Japan, against Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian team that Cristiano Ronaldo plays for. Prior to concluding the trip on August 3 in Busan, South Korea, PSG will face Cerezo Osaka in Osaka, Japan, and Inter Milan in Tokyo.

In an agreement for 180 million euros ($196 million), Mbappe moved from Monaco to PSG in August 2017. Since then, he has become one of the most well-known players in the world.
