The limited edition vehicle, which was inspired by the solar eclipse, was unveiled by luxury car maker Rolls-Royce. There will only be 25 Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis models made in all. On October 14, when a ring-like solar eclipse will truly be seen in the Western Hemisphere, The Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis will be released.
Design for the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost
Lyrical Copper color finishing is applied to the body of the limited edition Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis to mimic the brilliance of a complete solar eclipse. Mandarin accents are applied below the Pantheon Grille and brake calliper of the Ékleipsis to depict how the sun changes during an eclipse. The hand-painted coachline, which completed the car’s unique appearance, also included Mandarin accents.

The Starlight Headliner in the cabin of the Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis is specially animated. When the car’s doors are closed and the ignition is turned on, this animation begins to play. The Starlight Headliner then darkens and shows the complete solar eclipse process. The maximum time of a complete solar eclipse is 7 minutes, 31 seconds, during which this animation will be visible. This elaborate Starlight Headliner animation took over a year to complete.
A complete eclipse is represented by 1,846 stars that have been laser-engraved over the course of more than 100 hours on the front fascia of the Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis. A unique wristwatch with a 0.5-carat brilliant-cut diamond, replicating the “Diamond Ring” effect seen during a solar eclipse, is also shown on the car’s front.
The dual-color tone, Mandarin leather upholstery, black tint, and perforations on the seats of the limited edition Rolls-Royce are all standard features. In addition, the Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis has illuminated tread plates, door-mounted umbrellas, and a vehicle cover with the Rolls-Royce Private Collection emblem.
Engine for the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost
A 6.7-liter twin-turbo V12 petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox powers all four wheels of the special edition Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis. The 563 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque produced by this V12 engine are adjusted.
Price for the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost
The base price of the Rolls-Royce Ghost ranges from Rs 6.95 crore to Rs 7.95 crore. Considering that it is a limited edition model, the Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis will undoubtedly cost more, but all 25 of the limited edition Rolls-Royces have already been sold.
