Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, visited various villages in the Osmanabad area on Tuesday and offered financial help to farmers whose crops had been harmed by unseasonably heavy rainfall and hail.
In the central Maharashtra district’s Dharur and Wadibamani villages, he toured agricultural fields and grape plantings in the Morda village and Tuljapur tehsil.
Shinde looked through grape plantations, water melon fields, vegetable, jowar, dragon fruit, chilli, mango, and sugarcane fields. He also listened to farmer complaints.
He promised that the state government would help the affected farmers as soon as possible and gave the appropriate authorities orders to complete the damage assessment process as soon as possible.
Tanaji Sawant, the health minister and district guardian minister, accompanied the chief minister. Shinde previously paid a visit to and offered prayers at the Tuljabhavani Temple in Tuljapur.
