The crime branch said that it has not been tempered or morphed in any way. With the help of technical experts and cyber experts, the crime branch unit has come to this conclusion after verifying the veracity of 10 videos of Somaiya.
It is noteworthy that when this video surfaced, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis had ordered an inquiry into the matter in the Assembly. After this, the Crime Branch team of Mumbai Police closely analyzed the entire video and found that the video has not been morphed. When the video turned out to be genuine, the police is now investigating in this direction as to who made this video viral and for what purpose.
Let us tell you that last week a Marathi news channel aired the alleged sex tape of BJP leader Somaiya, which is currently going viral on social media. The Marathi news channel also claimed that they have more similar videos. The crime branch had written a letter to that news channel demanding those videos, so that the investigation could proceed. There was a debate during the Maharashtra Monsoon session, with main opposition leader Ambadas Danve submitting an 8-hour pen drive to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, following which Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Ministry, ordered a high-level probe.
