Maharashtra: A Major Road Accident In Nashik, 4 Killed, Many Injured In Car And Truck Collision

A car collided with a parked container truck on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Nashik district of Maharashtra on Monday morning. At least four people traveling in the car died in the accident. A police official said that the accident took place at Malsane Shivar area of Chandwad taluka at around 7 am. While going from Nashik towards Dhule, the car collided with a container truck parked on the roadside.

The officer said that all four people in the car died on the spot. The truck was standing on the roadside due to a burst tyre. The official said that the deceased have been identified as Kiran Ahirrao (47), Krishnakant Mali (43), Praveen Pawar (38) and Anil Patil (38), residents of Dhule. Due to this incident, vehicular movement on the Mumbai-Agra route was affected in the morning.

At the same time, in Thathia police station area of Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, three persons riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a speeding car. Thathiya police station in-charge Inspector (SHO) Vikram Singh said that Gorelal (58), Pyarelal (53), Shankar (35), residents of village Sisaiyan Purva, were going towards Bhadausi on the same motorcycle when they met Thathiya at the Bhadausi intersection. A speeding car going towards Makanpur hit the motorcycle.
