Maharashtra: A Swindler Duped Many People By Posing As DG Of Ministry Of Tourism

In Maharashtra, a case of fraud of lakhs of rupees has come to the fore by posing as the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism. Here a young man made investment of lakhs of rupees by calling himself the DG of Tourism Department and using the name and picture of Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The youth absconded after taking more than 50 lakh rupees in the name of investment. After realizing that it was fraud, a complaint was lodged with the police, after which teams from Pune and Nagpur have left for Uttar Pradesh in search of the accused.

According to information, a swindler duped many people by posing as the Director General of the Union Ministry of Tourism. In the name of ecotourism and other teams, the accused absconded after taking lakhs of rupees from the people. Now after this the Economic Offenses Investigation Branch has registered a case against the accused Anirudh Anant Kumar Singh, a resident of Brahmaghat Varanasi, under the Fraud and MPID Act after preliminary investigation.

The swindler has duped several investors of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of investing in various schemes under the Union Ministry of Tourism. For this, the thug used the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and famous actors of the film industry. For this, the accused had disguised himself as the operator of the Union Ministry of Tourism. Investing in various schemes run by the Ministry of Tourism, investors were lured to get a profit of lakhs of rupees. he tricked people of getting rewarded by leaders and actors like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Actor Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and actress Deepika Padukone, etc. He had also prepared a fake website.

According to information received from the police, a case has been registered at Rana Pratap Nagar police station on the complaint of Sunil Vasant Rao Kuhikar, a resident of Jaitala, Nagpur. The complaint states that Kuhikar was introduced to Hoshing in October 2021. He introduced himself as the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism. Apart from this, he also showed his picture with big leaders of Center govt, Uttar Pradesh govt and some Bollywood celebrities. At the same time, he had also printed bogus magazine in the name of the government. He told the people that their money would be invested in various schemes of the Ministry of Tourism. There will be huge profits in this too. Five people including Kuhikar fell under his trap and gave about 50 lakh rupees to Hoshing from time to time. Hosing suddenly disappeared after taking people’s money. The victims attempted to contact him, but his phone number was switched off.

According to the information received from the police, in the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that it was a fraud. More cases have been registered against the accused. He had also maintained his Twitter account in the name of Ministry of Tourism. In the recently held G20 summit too, he had uploaded a photo with the guests from abroad. According to the information received, he also used to take seminars in five-star hotels to increase his business of cheating. 5 victims of fraud have come forward.
