In Kolhapur, Maharashtra, a father killed his younger son with the help of his elder son in a dispute over an iPhone. However, the murder case of Bamani village of Kagal taluka was solved within 24 hours. The name of the murdered youth is Amar Singh Thorat. Thorat is a resident of Gotkhindi village in Kagal taluka. Amar Singh Thorat was preparing for MPSCC for 10 years in Pune, but due to lack of success, the family called him home.
Thorat returned home only a few days ago. After this he started studying LLB in Kolhapur. The family told that he used to think that other people have gadgets like computers, laptops and iPhones, so they pass. Meanwhile, Amar Singh got drunk and started quarreling repeatedly with the family members. When Amar Singh demanded Rs 1.5 lakh from his father to buy an iPhone, his father refused, leading to an argument.
After the argument, angry father attacked Amar Singh in the head with an iron pipe in the house itself. When he died due to excessive bleeding, the elder son and father together threw the dead body of the younger son on the side of the road. The body has been sent for postmortem. Father Dattajirao Thorat and brother Abhijit Thorat have been arrested by the police.
