For the last few days, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has been continuously meeting his nephew and Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. There has been a lot of stir in the political corridor regarding this meeting.

Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar on Monday said there is no confusion within the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance over his meeting with nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Pune. Pawar told the media in Baramati that the MVA is united and we will successfully hold the next meeting of the opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A on August 31 and September 1 in Mumbai.

The Congress, a constituent of the MVA, and the Thackeray faction’s Shiv Sena had asked the NCP chief to clear the confusion being created in political circles by such meetings between uncle and nephew. Pawar said, “There is no confusion among the MVA partners. We are all together and will ensure that the India meet on August 31 and September 1 in Mumbai is held successfully.”

Sharad Pawar asked the media not to try to create more confusion through question-answers. “I, Uddhav Thackeray and state Congress president Nana Patole have taken the responsibility of organizing the India Alliance meeting in Mumbai,” Pawar said. Significantly, this meeting will be held in a luxury hotel. Pointing to his nephew’s decision to join the BJP, Pawar said the NCP has no links with the MVA factions.
